Obama, a communist

shitmystudentswrite:

It just totally upsets me that Obama, a communist, made ObamaCare instead of making the Affordable Care Act.  That was a better idea.  He should have done that.

senior year thus far

My senior year has been much, much busier than I expected. With my preparing to work on my senior thesis (getting IRB approval has been an inconvenience at best, but its required), and taking care of my wiener dog child (who has been acting like a little shit lately for some reason), I feel like I have absolutely no time for myself! It’s been crazy. I hope it doesn’t fly by too fast.

I’m currently in the process of applying to programs for next fall, after graduation. So far, I’m applying to Grad school at Texas State, where I would feel comfortable and happy. I would get to stay in my beautiful apartment, and not force the inconvenience of moving on my hubby and my pup.

I’m also applying for Teach for America, which is a great program, but if I do get an offer, I will probably have to move. Or commute. Hopefully if I get an offer, it will be somewhere close by and I won’t have to move.

For all you freshman starting at Texas State this year, enjoy it. Enjoy every minute of the bad parties, the obnoxious greek life, the horrible san marcos traffic, the river (and bikini hill), enjoy the crazy professors that ask you to call them by their first names, and enjoy the beautiful mix of interesting people in this town; it will be over before you know it.

Class of 2015… I can hardly believe it has been four years!
